Switch Espresso is an award winning coffee roaster based in Christchurch, NZ. Our mission is to provide our team and partners with an experience without equal – to be better than we were yesterday.

Our coffee & tea is served all over the South Island and even as far south as Scott Base in Antarctica. The cornerstone of our business is our coffee care program, which combines the 5 key elements necessary to produce the best cup of coffee:

Beans

We source specialty grade coffee beans from the finest producing estates and regions from around the world. Our transparent relationships with farmer collectives and ethical suppliers mean we can offer excellent quality and competitive pricing, and make sure the people doing the hard work get their cut.

Tea

Our own ‘Hoity Toi-Tea’ is hand picked and imported directly from the finest tea producing estates and regions in the world, our seven exciting fine teas brew incredibly delicious with beautiful colour and delightful aromatics.

Training

Appropriate training is an essential part of our coffee care program. All of our clients are required to undergo periodic training. Training includes menu development, covering basic drinks to specialty and signature drinks, as well as basic equipment trouble shooting. Check out the training room.

Equipment

Our team of professionals can guide you on a well-considered service layout, based on our extensive experience in café service environments. We also help you access the right equipment for your needs with close relationships with the following distributors around the world.

Maintenance

Routine preventative maintenance of equipment and 24/7 emergency response services are managed and performed by our technician and support crew. Scheduled preventative ensures equipment is performing at its best as it should
