Switch Espresso

Our cafés

Roasting since 2006, Switch Espresso has slowly but surely grown out of its humble roots in New Brighton, Christchurch.

Now with a roastery based in South Christchurch with the adjoined Industrie Espresso Bar, and two exceptional cafés, Black Betty on Madras St and Bunsen on Worcester Boulevard, allow Switch to spread our passion for hospitality to our loyal Christchurch fans and visitors.

Black Betty

Black Betty opened for business in February 2011 and since then has grown to become an integral part of the Christchurch café scene.

Bunsen

Bunsen opened in November 2016 with a bang and a roar and is a favourite haunt of central city locals as well as coffee lovers from all over Christchurch.

Industrie

Industrie opened in January 2014 when our wholesale coffee company outgrew two previous homes and needed bigger warehousing space.
